​Denika was born and raised in Syracuse, New York. She is the co-founder of 2Sisters4Life Breast cancer awareness.  She shares her early thoughts and experiences and then has to fight her journey through her own battle with breast cancer.  She is a Best Selling Author in the anthology Stand Up! Volume 2 - Resilient Black Women Who Are Shaping the World with Their Faith.

She has traveled and spoken to a vast audience from New York to Gabon, Africa. Being a 23-year breast cancer SURVIVOR, she continues to tell her story in hopes to increase knowledge of breast cancer and increase a higher rate of survival.

Denika also runs a family/group home daycare, Positive Growth Daycare, which has been successfully for the last 7 years. Her first children's book named Damian’s Mom Has No Hair, which is now an Amazon Best-Seller, is a true story of how she taught her kids about the changes she would go through from her cancer.
